ART STUDIO
This project involved the construction of a bespoke art studio, designed to provide a bright and functional creative workspace. The structure has been carefully planned to maximise natural light, creating a
comfortable and inspiring environment all year round.
(Project Management - Residential)
For this project, Simlaco was responsible for the full delivery of the build, from initial consultation and technical drawings to full construction services. The project is
nearing completion, with only the installation of the coping stones remaining.
The build incorporated a roof lantern and an angled roof, finished with a rubber
membrane, directing surface water to a dedicated drainage System for effective weather management. Internal lighting was distributed to replicate natural daylight conditions, complementing the large window openings to maximise natural light. The studio was fully serviced with plumbing for a WC, radiators and sinks, enabling
year-round comfort and functionality. The works also included full masonry
construction and the installation of a Type 1 sub-base with a self-levelling compound, followed by THE laying of a durable vinyl floor finish to provide a practical and
hard-wearing internal surface.

Truck Workshop
This project involves managing the construction of a purpose built truck workshop, configured for optimising efficiency and operational output. The layout and building systems were developed to support heavy-duty use, while ensuring safe, well
organised vehicle movements and maintenence workflows.
(Project Management - Commercial)
The workshop construction includes grouting of the steel base to ensure structural stability, alongside the digging of foundations and installation of a Type 1 sub-base with a heavy-duty reinforced concrete floor designed to accommodate the loads
imposed by commercial vehicles. The building envelope incorporates durable wall
cladding, with the lower sections formed using precast concrete wall units to provide impact resistance at vehicle height, significantly increasing durability in areas
vulnerable to accidental contact from trucks.
The fit-out incorporates a full Electrical installation to support workshop operations, roller shutter access doors to accommodate vehicle movements, and the formation of a service pit to allow safe Access to the underside of vehicles for maintenance works. The facility will also be equipped with a compressed air system to support pneumatic tooling, alongside Appropriate ventilation provisions to manage fumes, heat, and air quality within the workspace, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

TOONS FURNITURE
This project involves managing essential works at a busy furniture store, focused on improving safety and operational efficiency. Initial works included targeted repairs to the roof and other key areas, ensuring a durable and well-functioning environment for staff and customers.
[Facility Management]
For this maintenance project, Simlaco employed drone surveillance to safely inspect the roof, capturing high-resolution footage to identify leaks and areas requiring
repair. Following the aerial assessment, an internal inspection underneath the roof was conducted to confirm the findings and plan the necessary work. This combination of drone-assisted surveying and traditional inspection allows us to pinpoint issues quickly and carry out repairs efficiently, minimising disruption to the store’s
operations. Using drones in this way demonstrates Simlaco’s ability to bring innovative solutions to routine maintenance, providing clients with a reliable, accurate, and
effective service.
